Every day in America, over 6,500 people are hospitalized for substance abuse. That's 6,500 families disrupted by the effects of addiction.

We give kids their parents back.

For over 100 years, our Adult Rehabilitation Programs have offered spiritual, emotional and social assistance to those who have lost the ability to cope with their addictions and provide for themselves. The Salvation Army's no-fee program in Seattle provides housing, food, counseling, community and work therapy, as we work to combat the root causes and symptoms of prolonged alcohol and drug dependence.

WHAT WE OFFER

Our Three bridge approach allows participants an intensive six-month in-patient recovery program, an additional two-month in-house work development and job search bridge, and an additional six-month independent living support house.

BRIDGE I PURPOSE

The purpose of Bridge I is to provide a safe place for individuals to learn about their addiction, restore their physical health, gain a spiritual connection, and receive the training needed to maintain. The goal of the program is to address the underlying causes of the individual’s addiction and behaviors and create a bridge of hope to lasting sobriety and personal fulfillment.

BRIDGE II PURPOSE

Bridge II Program’s purpose is to offer guidance and support for: servant leadership, continuing education, job search planning, gaining employment and housing referrals while participating in other aspects of recovery in the safety of the Recovery Program. The goal of the Bridge II Program is to build upon the foundation laid by the Recovery Program and field training assignments (FTA) of Bridge I.

BRIDGE III PURPOSE

The purpose of Bridge III is to assist program participants during the transition period from a highly structured recovery program environment to independent living. This concept includes main-taining a strong emphasis of activities centered in Christ-based recovery, i.e. sponsorship, fellowship, twelve -step meeting attendance, and Salvation Army services.
